It is a common belief that participating in clubs and other designed activities should be used most of children’s leisure time. This statement has two conflicting opinions that which advantages or disadvantages are more superiority. From my viewpoint, its benefits outweigh its drawbacks.
On the one hand, joining in social clubs would bring some negative effects to children. Firstly, children have to separate their time for study and club activities equally. Therefore, they cannot deeply concentrate on learning. This would affect children’s academic records. Moreover, learning at school and doing social activities in clubs would put youth under pressure. For example, some students at my school join in community clubs. As a result, they have a wide range of acquired tasks that should be completed. Besides, teachers also assign homework. These lead to depression phenomenon of students because they do excessively.
On the other hand, although taking part in social groups negatively affects children’s learning, I believe that the youngsters could be familiar with these situations and create suitable timetable because the benefits that this action brings are absolutely more. First of all, children could develop their practical skills. For instance, several pupils who are members of foreign language clubs are taught a variety of useful skills such as communication skills or teamwork skills. Moreover, they also interact with foreign people which helps them have multinational thinking and lots of knowledge about different cultures. Secondly, youngsters who engage in clubs would become more confident and independent. Because they could express themselves and communicate with many partners. Finally, participating in social teams would assist them have a huge number of new relationships. That could help their future career become open and straightforward.
In conclusion, youth focus on joining in clubs and community activities impacting their study results and spirit. However, they could fix and continue to do so because its benefits are superior.
