Some people believe that some businesses keep up their brands by updating and improving their products, while others argue that companies sustain their brands only by advertising their products. This essay agrees with the former opinion. Both points of view will be considered in this essay.
On the one hand, some people claim that some companies support their brands by releasing updated and improved versions of their products. If people continue buying one of company’s product, there is no reason for it to produce anything new. For instance, Russian marque Lada released Lada Niva more than 50 years ago and it is still popular all over the world. Moreover, it is a better idea to improve product according to the market trends, than to launch new ones every year. This way customers would be sure in the quality of your products due to the sustainability of them. To be honest, I agree that companies should update and enhance their products since it would be obvious for consumers to understand that businesses treat their products like their babies.
On the other hand, organizations can maintain their brands using only advertisement. When company’s market share is unmeasurably small the only way to increase brand awareness is by advertising it. For instance, one unknown company from Austria called Red Bull has become popular thanks to its advertising campaign with sportsmen.
Taking everything into account, there are various views on the issue of maintaining the brand. For some companies it is essential to update and make their products better in order to sustain their brand, while other companies are convinced that the best way to do it is by advertising their products. I firmly believe that the former point of view is more sensible because this business model shows that company will improve and take care of her products as long as it can.
