It is often argued that a growing number of people can nowadays get knowledge from electronic devices, thus we do not have to use written works, and newspaper articles. Although this view has some merit, I agree with this opinion to a certain extent, because reading online saves natural resources and electronic media can provide more recent information.
One important reason why I agree with this point of view is that minimize paper consumption, which means that it is better for the environment. Producing printed books and paper based materials requires a large amount of tree cutting. As a result, reducing the need for paper can help make our communities ecological friendly. However, this problem can not be fully solved by using alternative ways to receive materials, we can try our best to reduce it by applying devices instead of physical copies.
There is no doubt that people can access the latest data from gadgets. For example, the internet provides many websites, forums and online resources where students can find a lot of useful information for their studies or reading for pleasure. I still believe that digital forms of technology are more beneficial and valuable than paper publications. This is mainly because we can find sources more quickly, and it makes our research easier.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that printed materials are less important nowadays than they were in the past. Whereas digital content is becoming dramatically in demand. This is because every day people are considering opportunities that technology gives us.
