In the world of crimes and law, some nations are canceling the use of the death penalty because of risk to kill an innocent person, while it is claimed that it acts as a deterrent factor for offenders to commit serious crime. However, in my opinion, in spite of its negative sides, I agree that its deterrent effect is more crucial.
To begin with, in some cases, death punishment is useful because it can refrain people from potential crimes. To clarify, as long as they aware that they could be killed for these occurrences, they have to think about it before they commit to misdeed. For example, the death penalty for high priority will forever, afraid to do it as they will face the ultimate punishment. Thus, in countries where capital punishment is allowed, it can stop them from completely go misunderstood.
However, the reason why death penalty should not be allowed because it can lead some execution of innocent individuals. To explain, mistakes in the justice system, such as false accusation or wrongful convincing, can result in someone being sentenced to death despite being innocent.
