Nowadays, every country has a different age limit, when a person is allowed to drink alcohol.While some people believe that not having strict laws is the best approach, I believe that it is better to control this issue.

On the one hand, it could be argued that

some people choose to try alcohol as they think it is a challenge to break the law and see the consequences. If there is no strict law related to alcoholic drinks, this will arise no interest among young people to experiment and taste something which is harmful by nature. Also the absence of strict laws provides freedom of choice and this can make a person more responsible, and this is a useful skill in our time.

However, in my opinion, there are more reasons why the sale of alcohol should have strict age restrictions. When a person comes of age, one’s body is formed as well as nervous system, so drinking alcohol before the age of sixteen or eighteen can harm person’s physically and mental health. Moreover, if the government will not control the sales of alcohol among youngsters, this can lead to early alcohol addiction since, as I mentioned earlier, the nervous system has not yet formed and is more susceptible.

To sum up, although not having strict laws may discourage young people from challenging to break the law and increase their responsibility, it is better to have age limits to avoid the risk of health problems and alcohol addiction.Therefore, on balance, I believe that that this issue should be controlled.
