The conversational topic of the legal drinking age limit is discussed in many countries, especially, in Europe and the United States, There is a regulatory difference that is affected by a combination of culture, belief, and social factors. This essay will explain the reasons why some countries have strict minimum drinking age laws while others have low regulations on alcohol consumption among young people.

In the countries that concentrate on the legal drinking age, the United States, They apply the law to prohibit alcohol consumption in under age 21. Most laws apply only to drinking in public places because of violent or accident prevention. It could be caused moral situation; death, paralysis. Moreover, the most commonly known reason is the effect on the brain in adolescents. As the brain is still maturing, alcohol could have a negative effect on the memory and long-term recognition. Not only impact on the intelligence but also the physicality such as liver failure, and hormone imbalance in teens.

On the other hand, in many European cultures, alcohol is often integrated into daily life. It is common for families to introduce children to wine or beer in moderation during meals. Also, they believe that one glass of wine per day could be good for gut health. Thus, legal drinking ages vary widely across Europe, with some countries allowing consumption at 16 or 18.

To summarize alcohol consumption laws differ from country to country, largely influenced by cultural and social perspectives. However, the key responsibility lies with families to educate their children on drinking responsibly. Parents should instill the importance of drinking in moderation, at appropriate times, and in ways that avoid negative impacts on their health, and those around them.
