In this day and age, few number of languages around the world have been spoken by fewer people, putting them at the risk of extinction. It is therefore said that there will be steps to prevent their complete disappearence. I strongly agree with this view because the languages represent the public culture and tradition.
There are some valid reasons why I believe that some languages should be prevented from being extinction. The first and foremost one is its main factor for nation’s culture, meaning that language is a key part of country’s culture. Language have duties like carrying traditions and history from one generation to another. If a language dispappears, people loss their history and traditions. This is because language involves all information and knowledge about a nation. Hence, government should support minority languages in its local community places, such schools.
In addition to this, protecting language helps to keep cultural diversity in the world, meaning that they will have their own patterns for living, thinking and studying. If minority languages loss and only a big language are spoken, the word would not be interesting, because there will not diversity. Therefore, government should support minority languages in its local community places, such schools. Also, families should teach their children their native language.
To sum up, I believe that this trend should be taken to prevent from disappearing because they have an important role for nation’s culture and diversity.
