Some parents always give their children whatever they want or allow them to do anything they like. In my opinion, this parenting style can be extremely harmful to children’s development and may lead to several negative consequences in the future.
Firstly, without proper discipline, children are likely to focus only on short-term pleasures rather than long-term responsibilities. For example, if they are allowed to watch TV or play video games without time limits, it may harm their physical health, such as damaging their eyesight. Moreover, children who are given everything they want may struggle to develop essential values like self-control, responsibility, and resilience. If they are constantly allowed to avoid difficult tasks, they may never learn how to overcome challenges later in life.
In terms of long-term consequences, these children may face various difficulties when entering adulthood. To begin with, they may form unhealthy habits that not only affect their well-being but also hinder their career development. Additionally, such children may find it hard to adapt to social rules, since they have not learned how to face rejection or make independent decisions. Finally, being overly indulged can lead to poor emotional intelligence, making it hard for them to express their feelings or empathize with others.
In conclusion, raising children without setting limits may negatively impact both their academic performance and social life. More importantly, it may prevent them from becoming responsible and emotionally mature adults.
