On the one hand, letting children study at home offers parents and children several advantages. Firstly, instead of going to school, parents just want their children to stay at home, so they will stay closer with each other. Spending a lot of time talking and sharing everything can help both understand each other, which might strengthen their family bonds or build a better relationship.
Secondly, parents will not lose so much money to pay the tuition fees for their children when taking them to school. These tuition fees include teaching staff’s salary, materials, and extracurricular activities. When staying at home, parents can save this amount of money to invest in other children’s productive activities.
On the other hand, there are more drawbacks that parents let children study at home. First of all, teachers are more experienced than parents because teachers study in the university for teaching purposes so that teachers can teach the children better than parents by using the pedagogical skills. In contrast, parents cannot teach their children as well as teachers because they are good at their major, but not know how to explain clearly to students. Furthermore, if the children stay at home, they will lack a good social relationship because they cannot communicate with different people in society. From that, it will be difficult to them in the future work.
In conclusion, the idea of letting children study at home could bring certain benefits, but its drawbacks and consequences are more serious.
