The issue of industrial pollution has become a matter of considerable debate in recent years with the massive increase of factories. Some people say that it is a responsibility of such companies which are causing these pollution. This essay will discuss the problem and state some reasonable solution to solve them. I firmly believe that these companies should pay for the cost of cleaning procedures.
To begin with, most of cities have large number of industrial units for different kind of works. They run on daily basis, and create piles of waste. This waste should be cleaned by that unit or their owner should pay for the cleanliness. This is primarily because the government cannot bear the burden of every unit. For example, the waste of rice factories in Lahore is cleaned by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), which receive payment for that work from the owner of that mill. As a result, there is not any burden on authorities for reducing pollution.
Furthermore, it is observed in news that some small units and industries are not taking care of their factory wastes properly, They have very lethargic attitude toward the sanitation. The key reason is that they are not following the instructions to clean up the waste. For instance, some food companies throw away the rappers in open, which produce large amount of pollution in city area. Consequently, the government uses extra resources to clean this garbage. Hence, a handsome portion of budget has been wasted in this purpose.
In conclusion, although local or multinational industries play a vital role in progress of a country, they should cover the cost of waste management on their own.
