Environmental pollution is the most alarming issue for the planet. It is argued that government ought to compensate for the pollution instead of organization and human beings. I firmly disagree with the statement because responsible people should fulfill it and it can be extra load for the government.
To begin with, government cannot bear the expense for the contamination, since it should pay by whom are accountable for. This is because companies are the prime culprit for this problem. They do not use eco-friendly materials and hardly obey national laws, such as recycling waste. If they do not recycle their wastage and dump it in the environment, they should take the responsibility. For example, in Bangladesh, garment factories do not reprocess their waste and throw it to the river directly. Hence, they have been paying for river pollution to the higher authority.
Additionally, this will become a burden for the government as they have a number of sectors to improve. To elaborate, governments collect taxes from every citizen for the nation’s betterment. If they spend a vast amount of the fund to pay for the pollution, they cannot contribute to education, health, and infrastructure. Mankind can mitigate the pressure from the government’s shoulders by compensating their own creation. For example, in India, reducing pollution has become an extra cost for the government as their citizens are unwilling to pay for it. Therefore, the government cannot do much contribution on overall living standard.
In conclusion, since responsible must pay for the bill of the pollution and it can be loaded for the government, I wholeheartedly believe that government should not do it. This is because companies are creating pollution and government has other sections to flourish
