People have contrast views regarding the best adoptation method when your are living in another country. While it is nessecary to respect the host country’s culture, I believe that having your own community would be benficial.
On the one hand, all the individuals, as a guest, ought to be respectful toward their host. The main reason is that to live in a new country, you need to be accepted by the public since you have to communicate with them to achieve different goals including finding a proper job, learning their language or having friends. If immigrants do not adopt themselves, people might take a guard toward them because they feel that this issue is hurting their living. For instance, in Germany some people believe that the large number of immigrants will effect their own culture. As a result, host governments might create some regulations in order to control migration. Therefore, It can make the situation difficult for immigrants particularly for new comers.
On the one hand, having minor groups can bring about several advantages. Firstly, migrants can be familier with others who came from the same country. Therfore, they can help each other to solve their problems by sharing their own experiences. Secondly, they can introduce their own culture to host country’s people and show their strong background. It can be effective not only to help the host people accept them easier, but also to make them not forgetting their traditions. So, the new generation who have grown up there can understand where they came from. For instance, Iranians in Canada celebrate Yalda and Nowruz every year and invite all people in order to be familier with their celebrations. Finally, immigrants can persue their needs from governments by selecting a representor. Hence, I belive that they can follow their problems in a legal way.
In conclusion, I can understand why people insist on being adopted when they are living in a new country, but it seems to me that having minor communities is a better aproach since it can make the entire migration process easier and help the host people know them as a non-dangerous group.
