In today’s fast-paced world there are two opposing views on the transportation of students. Some people say that the government is responsible for providing scholars with special vehicles such as school buses or vans, while others argue that the parents are obliged to carry youth to schools instead. I believe that the government should be responsible for providing school transportation.
Student transport is the transporting of children and teenagers to and from schools and school events. School transport can be undertaken by school students themselves with various means of transport: bicycles, bikes, and cars for older students who have driver’s licenses. Moreover, more parents are choosing to drive their children to school due to safety concerns and the risks of children traveling alone. In fact, this method of transportation provides greater convenience for both parties.
On the other hand, in some well-developed countries using school buses or vans, provided by the government, is the common way of transporting children to their schools. Student transport can use specially designed school buses. For instance, in the US and Canada, yellow school buses are equipped with various forms of warning signs and safety devices that are specific to them only. Furthermore, other drivers are required to keep a safe distance, stop when necessary, and drive slowly when near school buses. These measures indicate that children are safe while traveling to and from school.
In conclusion, while there is a belief that the parents ought to carry their offspring to the educational institutions, I lean towards the view that the government should prioritize doing it instead.
