It is inarguable that there is a rise of use of technology in todays education, whether its secondary or higher education systems. While it is important to acknowledge its limitations, it is inevitable that it will continue to be a part of education in the future.
Firstly, it is important to establish that it has been proven that writing information down with pen and paper makes it easier for a person to absorb information. Therefore, typing things ont he computer can prolong the studying time. Secondly, there are various distraction on a computer that can lead to students prioritisng other acitivites, rather than using their computers for education purposes.
On the other hand, various types of tehcnology can enhance the leanrign process at schools or universities, and actually enhance the quality of education. It makes it faster to search for infromation needed, and also can be viewed as more sustainable, as it doe nto require paper to be printed.
In conclusion, as someone that has experienced the use of the textbook and notebook system as well as the computer and AI, I believe that the use of technology in education requires different kinds of skills. Whilst, we have access to data all the time through the internet and artifical intelligence, we need to learn hwo to critically analyse the information we receive.
