Museums are considered to be one of the important places to gain knowledge regarding the culture and history of the city. Few individuals believe that some kind of charge should be taken from the people visiting museums, while others opine that visiting museums should be of free of cost. Although I personally think that a reasonable amount should be charge from the visitors and I will put forward some points in the further paragraphs to support the above statement.
Charging fees for the citizens visiting the museums have several advantages. Firstly, the local government will earn a significant amount of revenue from the fees charged which will be further utilized for the betterment of the general public. Secondly, taking a decent amount will help the curators to maintain the museum, for example the visiting fees will be further used for covering the expenses of the museums.
The concept of charging fees will not only cover the expenses of the museums, but will also give a sense of motivation to the people working over there.
However, charging 0 fees for the purpose of watching the museum may benefit local people to some extent. Primally, the local people will more incline towards gaining knowledge regarding the history of that city as it is free of cost. Conversely, having no fees for seeing the historical sculptures and monuments will attract more tourist form various cities and this will in return increases the tourism of the local city.
Despite of having some upsides of not charging any amount for the visitors, I opine towards the concept of taking consideration from the people visiting museums.
