In recent years, some people debate whether mathematics and philosophy lessons should be considered optional, while others argue they should not. In my opinion, I believe that learning math and philosophy provides us with opportunities for high-paying jobs and addresses our daily needs in the future.
On the one hand, learning subjects such as algebra and philosophy helps people develop their skills and prepare for real life. They are important because they are used in everyday activities in various situations. For example, math is used to calculate money or in different sectors, while philosophy helps individuals communicate and express themselves better. If every child learns about these subjects in school, it will be easier for them to express themselves and build careers later in life.
On the other hand, if a child does not like these subjects, they need to learn their importance and be encouraged to study them due to the benefits. Sometimes, some children, being spoiled, tend to claim they dislike something at school just to have more time to play. However, parents and teachers must be more involved in children’s lives and encourage them to engage with these courses. As a result of participating in these courses, they will be able to calculate better, secure better jobs, and express their opinions clearly, while others who do not engage may struggle in life and find it more difficult to secure jobs and articulate their opinions.
In conclusion, I believe it is important for children to learn about mathematics and philosophy, and these courses must be compulsory in schools. The benefits of learning them will become evident when they are adults.
