With children spending more time at school, some people argue that teachers have a greater influence on children’s development than parents when they start school. While this perspective holds some merit, I feel that teachers play equally important roles in encouraging a child’s development and also teachers can influence them .
Advocates of teachers have a greater influence than parents contend that teachers teachers can contribute significantly to children’s development by providing academic knowledge, social interactions and essential life skills. Children’s preference is believed to depend on education, discipline, and social interaction provided by teachers. If children spend their time at school, for example, they learn important skills from their teachers, leading to better academic performance. As a result, children can be more disciplined, knowledgeable, and social behavior.
However, teachers are not only people who influence children’ development. In fact, family undoubtedly is the first institution of core virtues for everyone. Parents should continue to spend their time for children’ improvement and provide proper guidance. For instance, parents can teach honesty, responsibility, and social attitude at home, while teachers focus on academic knowledgeand getting into with each others at school. Consequently, combining these parental guidance with teachers’ education would be more effective than solely either of them alone.
To conclude, although teachers can have a significant influence on children’s development, they are far from the only contributors. A child’s development, in fact, often stems from a wide range of factors, including parental guidance, education, and good environment.
