Learning foreign languages in childhood is a great way to study foreign languages successfully. However, parents have difficulty making decisions about at what age they should start bringing their child to language school. Beginning learning foreign languages from the time a child starts school or at secondary school has benefits and drawbacks.
At first, scientists determined that children from ages 6 to 9 have the most opportunities to learn foreign languages so fast. It is connected with their brains’ ability to remember more information than, for example, adults. Nevertheless, children at these ages cannot recognize the rules of foreign languages.
At second, children at secondary school have more awareness than grade-schoolers. They cannot only learn new words and phrases in foreign languages, but also gain knowledge about tenses, passive and active voices, and other rules of foreign languages. On the other hand, the rules and conventions of speaking from, for instance, their own native language can be superimposed on foreign language studies.
In conclusion, I suppose learning foreign languages at early ages is the best time to make studying easier and less difficult. In my opinion, the sooner a person starts learning a foreign language, the better he or she will use it in his or her future.
