Some people think that students should learn art and music in school, but others believe it is a waste of time. In my opinion, some students want to learn music and art, but others do not want to waste their time on it. Furthermore, schools should give students a choice of what they want to learn.
Firstly, in some schools students can learn music and art, but in others they cannot. There are learners who have an interest in music or art. For example, in my school we have opportunities to choose what we want to learn about music and art, but we can do this between one and four classes. I had an interest in art and I learned it in school, but eventually, when I grew up, I lost interest in art. In my opinion, schools should give learners a choice of what they want to learn.
Secondly, in the schools where students have an opportunity to learn art and music, usually students do not have an interest in learning art or music. For instance, I had an interest in art in primary school, though with time I lost interest, and it seems that we can lose interest in these kinds of subjects when we grow up. Because of this, it is necessary to have a choice for students.
In conclusion, students should not be required to learn art and music in school because they may not want to learn them, and some learners may believe it is a waste of time.
