Some people argue that children should be taught to obey rules and follow the orders from their guardians and tutors while other believe that controlling children will make them un-prepared to face the different challenges their life. In my opinion, being too strict toward the children is harmful for their optimal growth and can have future repercussions
The main purpose of regulations for the children is make them responsible for their behavior.
As children are unaware of consequences of bad behavior. But they need to learn about the code and conduct of the various aspects of the society. For example, the children should be taught to maintain discipline at the school and they will follow the rules at home also. On the other hand, if there are no rules the children may indulge themselves in bad habits and may learn to speak ill language.
There are many occasions when the excessive strictness towards the children can have adverse effects on the child. Children will not develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Setting the certain rules to follow everywhere, will limit the growth of child’s imagination and creative skills as children will always in fear of doing the wrong thing. For illustration, when solving a math problem, a child will rarely try to approach the equation in different way if they have fear of being punished if the work is not done in certain way. Also, too strict upbringing leads to the loss of children time-control ability, so they cannot balance work and life, losing chances of success in their careers.
In summary, students should abide by rules at certain places as they may not be able to regulate their behavior, but too much strictness will have negative impact in their future.
