There is an argument among people that university education should be made free of cost globally. I completely agree on this statement. Making education free would help the needy fulfil their studies and it would lead to a better nation.
When a country is building up its social and economic status, education plays the role of a strong pillar. Higher Education brings up a worldwide reputation for that nation and hence ranking it to the top. Generally people due to shortage of money could not pursue a Masters degree and hence ending up with other odd jobs. Making it free would help students and thus arise an initiation within masses. For Instance, the German government has established no tuition-fees public universities to render it its citizens and also facilitating it for foreigners.
Some countries have a higher crime rate due to lack of education. People usually don’t complete their higher education and therefore end up becoming unemployed. Consequently, a lot of them join some irrelevant jobs and a lot land up into the criminal world. Making education accessible to the public could break this corrupt cycle and hence lead to a better world. For example, a number of African countries are being funded by some international trusts in the view of improving their social and economic structures. Once the majority gets educated, they can take the needful responsibilities.
To conclude, some public demand that education in universities should be taken care by the government. In my opinion this is a vey positive step as education is a key aspect in designing a country. Making it free would help the generations on a wide scale.
