While some people argue that a car is a superior vehicle to use when traveling urban areas, others believe that a bicycle is a better solution. In my opinion, it would be more efficient to ride a car than a bicycle in the city due to their convenience.
To start with the effects of riding a bicycle, it is known for its environmentally -friendly features since it never requires any resources such as fossil fuels. More residents using bicycles when commuting or traveling, there would be less environmental circumstances so that the riders’ health would not be damaged by green gasses. It also allows us to improve our health through pedaling to go forward. Furthermore, if there are well-organized traffic systems and enough policies which protect bicycle users in the city, riding a bicycle can be one of the methods to lessen traffic congestion resulting from numerous cars.
However, practically speaking, it is hard to use a bicycle in urban regions. Due to the cities’ shortage of roads for bicycles and highly contaminated air, riding a bicycle might be harmful to the riders. These can contribute to serious accidents. Riding a car, on the other hand, has very little chance to be done so. This is because there are well-organized road systems for cars in the city and most cars have air conditioning systems inside the cars so that the users would not get hurt from polluted air. Additionally, not only it offers the riders a private space so that they can feel comfortable inside but also affords greater burdens than bicycles, especially when the riders have to drive a long distance.
Although there are some trivial advantages of using a bicycle, it would be by far better options to ride a car when traveling in the city. It would be able to make the residents feel more comfortable and convenient to ride their own car.
