People are divided in their opinion regarding individuals are becoming more dependent to each other or independent. However, I believe that people are becoming less independent to each other, due to the fact of improvements in digital technology and other various reasons.
One the one hand, from the past times people used to be counting on each other, that in most cases illustrated ideal friendships and relationships between people. However today also people more dependent to each other, in conditions of education, business, media. As an example, travelers often ask for a help from someone, to show them right way. Another indivisible relationship can be between students and teachers, as both sides need each other’s support, even if it is working conditions, people are becoming more dependent to each other and tend to socialize well. Besides, people’s sense of relying to each other has numerous benefits, such as exchanging information, gaining knowledge and advice.
On the other hand, with the great improvements in digital media, specifically due to the social networks and video games, individuals become less conversing with each other. Scrolling Facebook’s, Instagram’s lines or playing online games are often considered as main reasons why people are not relying on each other like in earlier times. Furthermore, it is evident, that from the pandemic times, community prefer spent most of their time at home, shopping online and even studying online, which can be a considerably huge threat for society. For instance, today most people can easily use their map, in cases if they lose their way, instead of asking for a help from someone. All that factors shows how people are becoming less self-sufficient.
Taking everything into consideration, I strongly believe that in recent times people are more independent on themselves, that anyone else, thanks to media and technology.
