It is widely believed that people are responsible for their own health. However, several individuals argue that governments should pay attention to everyone’s health. In my opinion, I personally contend that both points of view possess reasoned arguments.
On the one hand, each individual should take care of their own health because there is no one that understands their health condition more than their own. Our body changes everyday depending on our routine and habits so we are the one feeling these changes clearly. For instance, if you do not exercise frequently, your body will be weak and you will be the one who feels exhausted. Therefore, we have to turn ourselves to be more disciplined and adjust our habits to be healthier such as work out more, sleep earlier and eat enough nutrients.
On the other hand, governments are more able to solve complex health problems that residents cannot and operate the healthcare system well. Initially, governments can founded several medical centres that aim to improve the people’s health. For example, in rural areas, there are no hospitals or healthcare centres but governments can invest in these to advance the quality of life. The result is people’s health can be taken care of by doctors and nurses working in hospitals, many cases of serious illness would be handled by them so the rate of death will reduce significantly. Moreover, governments can train doctors who are able to solve complex surgeries. This will lead to a much better quality of life for residents living in restricted areas.
In conclusion, both individuals and governments might be responsible for health problems to make sure that everyone lives strongly and healthily.
