Nowadays people have different views about responsibility in waste recycling issues. Although some people think that it is the individuals who should take the responsibility for this, I side with those who believe that the government and large corporations should be in charge of these processes.
On the one hand, many people think that ordinary people have more influence when it comes to environmental problems. This may be because if every person changes their habits, there will be less waste in the world. For example, while daily shopping they can use minimal packaging or reusable bags in order to avoid overconsumption. Personally, I believe that the problems of such higher level are really challenging to solve, especially when the situation is very serious, like in the modern society. Much bigger measures should be taken.
On the other hand, others believe that the government and big companies should take more responsibility for waste recycling. This is due to the fact that while people can implement eco-habits in their life, there are still a lot of other people who are not so mindful about ecology in general. In this case, the government and major corporations can launch special educational campaigns, which can be used both in educational and commercial sectors, for the young and old. As for me, I consider these problems as the most significant ones and therefore they should be addressed at the state or other higher level.
To sum up, the problem of waste recycling is still relevant and the question of responsibility for it remains unsolved. Some believe that citizens should develop their own eco-habits and recycle waste themselves, while others argue that this is the responsibility of the state and only it can regulate this issue. I strongly believe that people’s actions are not enough, and the support of the state in solving such serious issues is extremely necessary.
