Long time lasting is more important than the lower price due to the use of a product. Even if the price higher people tend to buy such products which will not be a waste in just couple of days. For example, a washing machine is usually bought for long-term use in household. Customers rarely buy this every year. They are more likely to choose a high priced good because of the well manufacturing. Also, sometimes customers pay attention to the safety from the product they are using which requires a high-cost build-up system. They would rather buy a high-end product with long-lasting validity than buy a cheap and unsafe product.
Moreover, to keep the cost low, products tend to be cheap and easily ware out. This practice increases the rate of production of same product and add more and more waste to the environment. most of the products are made by using plastics these days, which very much dangerous for nature and wildings. Accumulation of high amount of carbon to the earth’s soil is harmful for the plants. Most of the manufacturing industries don’t pay attention to result of huge waste due short time use of a products. Greener environmental associations are more concerned about these problems these days, so they have a negative impression on the products which are made for short-term use. Also, if a customer buys a product with 3 Dollars for 5 months use, it’s better than buying 1 dollar product every month.
