It is an undeniable fact that old people are backbone of the socity. Increasing number of individuals holds the thought that senior citizens should not be allowed to work after a certain age, however, others opine that they must have freedom for the duration of work. I will explain both point of views in the upcoming paragraphs along with my personal opinion.
On one hand, with growing age people start suffering from various health problems such as chronic disease and so on. If they continue working it It will not only effects the work performance but also will be harmful for their health. Thus, it is hard for individuals over 65 to work as it is considered as their retirement age.
On the other hand, it is observed that when older people stays at home or in retirement homes, they started feeling lonely which further cause boredom in their lives. Lack of socilization at their work, or duing their commute, effects their mental health. So to avoid mental stress, old citizens should provide a option to work as long as they want.
After aforementioned view points, I personally believe that old age people must have opportunity to work, despite of their age. It will allow them to remain active and contribute to society.
