Band 4+: Some people believe that non-academic subjects such as physical education and cookery should be removed from the school curriculum to reduce the pressure on students. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some people support opinion, that non-academic subjects, such as physical education and cookery, should be removed from program to reduce pressure on young people today. I have no doubt than youth nowaday have less free time and study under the pressure, but I strongly disagree that school should remove sport and non-academic subjects because it poses ability to create and improve health.

To begin with, physical education, perticulary sport and team-play activity. improve students health, mental and physical. Definetly, students who play sport regularly improve their soft skills and able to achieve more difficult goals, as consequense, thay able to consentrate on academic work better. Baseball players are the good example, because they enchance consentrate skills and can focus on one goal and striving to it. I believe that sport lessons should be in school syllabus, and discipline and workout bring more benefits to students than free-time activity like video games or watching youtube.

Moreover, creative subjects, such as cookery, art or paiting bring desirable joy for studing process, improve creativity skills and remove stress. Students can cook whatever they want and spend time with their classmate during eating. Futhermore, during this lessons they do not under pressure due to the fact that these subjects are not important and fail or mistake do not affect sighnificantly on school results.

In conclusion, I bealive that schools should not remove sport and non-academic subjects from syllabus because these subjects bring for students more benefits, such health and creativity skills, than drawbacks.
