It is widely aknowledged and proved by multiple scientific studies that a wide range of factors, including the parent’s role, peer pressure and others, shape children’s personality and future.
On the one hand, according to the major part of society, parents influence more significantly on kid’s behaviour patterns and characters being the first individuals that are faced by them in the beginning of life when they are considered to be more vulnerable than on others stages. Additionally, it is also considered that the parent’s models of behaviour teach how to deal with different situations and react on them. Moreover, the process of upbringing can cause positive or negative consequences, namely perfectly formed moral values and good skills of controlling emotions or traumas and psychological problems such as depression.
On the other hand, another part of society strongly believe that the social environment tends to be more powerful and important, while there are a lot of cases when a polite and responsible couple have a child, who behaves abnormal and beats social norms. This kind of situation can me simply explained by other factors that are crucial for the process of emotional development, such as bullying in school or other public places or the wrong choice of an authority made by a kid.
Taking everything into consideration, both parents and environment have a great impact. From my perspective, parents are more influential in childhood, whilist friends, celebrities and personal heroes are essential for teenagers, when they are trying to overcome separation and find themselves.
