In the contemporary world, some individuals seem to argue that manual labor should be paid the same salary as compared to high-level degrees. According to me, I completely disagree with that statement.
Due to some facts, which I would explain in the following essay, to begin with, manual labor lacks studies, knowledge, as well as experience to be hired in top management positions with high-paying salaries. There are a lot of specialized jobs which require strategic experts, which come from higher education. Their salaries are high due to their technical knowledge required for a job, which mostly does not require physical work. Secondly, when the salaries of physical workers and well-educated persons are the same, mostly students who are really hustling in their lives for pursuing higher education are getting demotivated, and they would go for learning physical working skills instead of going to universities or colleges, which impacts the country’s literacy rate. Moreover, without education, workforce products will be with basic knowledge and no degree to polish their skills.
To commence with the latter notion, in some cases, it would be fine to pay the same salary between physical workers and higher-educated persons because some physical skills are really hard, which take several years to learn. For instance, car mechanics, chief carpenters. To explicate it, there are a variety of cars launched in a year; it is really hard to learn how to fix them. One piece of evidence for this is that, in 2020, the US conducted a survey; higher-educated persons cannot compete with physical workers due to their higher energy and hard-working skills.
To put it in a nutshell, it is indeed a debatable issue which needs further analysis and discussion; however, in light of the discussion, it would be quite safe to conclude that labor should be paid the same as well-educated people.
