Some individuals are of the opinion that intellectual occupations such as doctors and teachers should deserve better compensation than those engaging in sports and entertainment fields. While I believe that knowledge workers should be granted lucrative salaries, it is unjust to undermine the value of artistic and sport professions.
On the one hand, there are compelling reasons why academic people such as doctors and teachers are highly respected to get superior wages rather than other entertainment jobs. It is evident that in order to operate the society that possess intricate fabric appropriately, there should be a group of people having an adequate amount of knowledge to convey social and virtual values as well as shape residents into responsible individuals, making teachers become one of the most essential occupations of any society. By the same token, doctors who guarantee the residents’ health are under a lot of pressure while carrying out hazardous operations. As a consequence, those professions should be granted suitable wages that are on par with their huge responsibility as well as critical role in society.
On the other hand, I would argue that not only these aforementioned occupations contribute considerably to societal growth, athletes and artists in entertainment fields should also deserve similar financial privileges for a range of driving forces. First of all, they can enrich our inner world through touching and emotional singing performances, which might heal the audience from the hustle life by making them escape from reality to immerse in gentle melody. This would enhance individuals’ overall mental well-being while confronting such an impulsive lifestyle in this day and age. Secondly, those professions can also foster a sense of cultural values through international sports tournaments where national athletes can showcase their talents to other nations or national art galleries, which can promote their home countries’ position and popularity across the global scale. This in turn can reinforce tourism via ticket sales, merchandise and endorsement, critically promoting economic growth.
In conclusion, while it is justifiable that intellectual people such as teachers or doctors be paid lucratively due to their significant contribution to the society regarding two most vital sectors: education and healthcare, I firmly believe that sports and entertainment personalities should not be underestimated as they can foster social values and reinforce the economy.
