There is many people who believe that libraries are no longer needed due to the internet, which is thought to be an easier way to find information, but there is people who still argue that they are still useful. In my opinion, I think that internet is a better source of study than book clubs.
From one hand, reasons why people state that internet is a better source of information than libraries are many, for example, finding information on internet is much more faster than in a book because there are webistes of books already analysed and summarised so the user doesn’t have to. Moreover, another reason is that when using digial information, the user doesn’t have to go anywhere and can do it at home, while in libraries, people go to a building in a specific location, which sometimes it is far away from some people.
By the other hand, people who defend traditional libraries may argue that the silence and environment of bookstores is much better than of a house, this is because many people doesn’t have a quiet and appropiate place to study, in consequence, they look for places to have a better concentration, such as libraries, where people is quiet and focused on their studies. In addition, another reason is that books may have a better impact on people’s memory, this happens when students finish reading a book and they are more likely to remember it fully than someone who read it on a internet summary.
In conclusion, I think that the best source of information nowadays is internet rather than libraries because of its accesibility and comodity.
