I think that without practical skills, students may struggle to cope with various challenges in adulthood, however solely focusing on these subjects may not be advantageous for senior students.
On the one hand, in contemporary society, schools already included certain subjects which provide such skills. These subjects can prepare pupils for problems which are students highly likely to face in adulthood. For example, financial literacy allows them to deal with money more effectively, and first aid can even preserve someone’s life. Therefore, such subjects are beneficial for schoolchildren in terms of handling with real-world challenges.
On the other hand, excessively focus on these subjects may harmful effect on children’s expertise, as academic subjects are the foundation for deeper understanding and critical thinking. Instead of spending several hours gaining practical skills, students can use their time more beneficially by preparing for tests, which are the most crucial part of applying to universities.
