Over the last few decades, there has been a debatable issue whether students should join in single-sex schools to achieve a higher academic performance, whilst the others think that studying in mixed schools can encourage students to have better socialization for their adult life. While it is beneficial to attend one-gender school,s I would argue that it is better to study in two-gender ones.
It can be comprehended that taking part in mixed schools fosters the extent of thinking of its students. For more illustration, studying in schools for boys and girls enhances the opporunities for learners to communicate and socialize with the opposite sex. For example, learners in these schools can approach the other sex students to discuss and have a debate on these students’ problems and difficulties. This approach can result in helping students understand better about the opposite sex’s way of thinking and the way they deal with their issues, which is beneficial for both of the genders in order to be prepared for the same situation they may confront in the future to work out with their clients’ difficulties.
Admittedly, participating in only-one-gender schools help its students have less distractions. To illustrate, learners joining in single sex schools have less opportunities and proportion to pursue in the sentimental connections with the opposite sex. These opportunities help students focus way better and make all of their efforts concentrating on their academic performance and researches of learning.
In summary, I am convinced students should go to mixed schools because despite that taking part in single-sex schools contains specific advantages for students to enhance their performance of studies, mixed schools certainly support their leaners in much better way
