There is a prevailing notion that individual effort is the underlying reason for people’s success while the others argue that several factors, particularly family background and socioeconomic conditions. From my perspective, environmental conditions can be important to support people, however, I believe that personal determination is more crucial.
On the first hand, exogenous factors foster people’s achievement. This can be explained that family backgrounds, socioeconomic and the era they live in have the ability to accelerate success. It can be attributed to the fact that individuals born into a privileged upbringing with high quality education, available resources as well as strong pre-generation power show more willingness to head start over others. For example, Bill Gates has more opportunities than other people when getting an approach to computers and electronic devices earlier than his peers in the 1970s, which is one of the key rationale leading to his wealthy business of Microsoft company.
On the other hand, people’s potential plays an indispensable role contributing to people’s triumph. The root cause lies in hard work, discipline, resilience, and personal skills development, which is the foundation for long-term achievement. In fact, external resources are ineffective if people lack their own consciousness, problem solving skills or determination. For instance, thousands of well known people such as JK Rowling- The authors of Harry Potter who used to live rely on social resistance but then become a billionaire by writing novels or Nick Vujicic – a person born without limbs has inspired billions of people with his perseverance and life story.
In conclusion, although there is a perception that external factors are the key point contributing to an individual’s success, personally, I lean toward the opinion that their own effortness is more important to lead them in a long-term achievement.
