Homeschooling or public schools? Which ones are better for children?
The question has been a topic of concern from past few years now. A child’s foundation starts building at a very young age, it becomes important to surround them with the correct environment. It not only helps them to nourish but also face the outside world. Education could be the most powerful tool in overcoming majority of the obstacles that they might face.
Education is enlightening. It could both be received at schools as well as their homes. A child gets emotionally attached to his home after living there for a few years. Home provides a comfort to the child and makes learning easier. The parents do not have to worry about their child getting bullied at school when homeschooled. The children can easily enjoy a pressure free environment to learn, without fearing about grades or any extra-curriculars. One of my cousins, who was homeschooled got into Harvard this year just because she was given freedom of learning in a flexible programme and a lively professional teaching experience from some of the best professional tutors. The personal teaching experience is just cherry on top for the safe and secure environment from prejudices.
Whereas the public schools are equal for a child’s character development. A child gets to get out of their comfort zone and could get to socialize and interact with other people. This is important when it comes to making friends on our own, having friends around who share a hand and. The school environment helps the child to comply and perform the external world. This pushes them to the best self. They get to experience variety of curriculums like sports, theatres and communication which helps them to mould according to any given situations.
I personally strongly recommend public schools as it comes with a package of experience which could not be found in a bedroom doing home school. It shapes you to overcome all the fears that someone might have.
