Integration of technological innovations has two ways of influencing traditional cultures. While others believe that novelties lead to the loss of traditional culture, I think it’s an excellent opportunity to save cultural individuality.
One opinion is that people may forget about conventional culture and lose it because of modern technologies. I partly agree that there is a lot of new data about modern culture and the reason for it is the Internet and new technologies. However, it’s not a barrier to remembering traditional values. On the contrary, this is an incredible opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of culture with the help of AR or AI.
Another point of view about influencing technological innovations on cultural individuality is closer to me. I think that nowadays there are lots of opportunities to save a cultural identity. Initially, it is common/widespread nowadays to digitize cultural objects like museums and libraries. It makes culture unique and available for everyone. For example, people with disabilities can look at historical places from home. Secondly, the Internet is a perfect place for cultural exchange. Humans can share their traditions with others and also can find information about their cultural roots. There are some good platforms like YouTube and Instagram, where everyone can look at traditional recipes, literature, and folklore.
Finally, there are two points of view about how advanced technology can affect cultures. While some agree with the opinion that technological innovations lead to the loss of traditionality, I think that an integration of technologies has a positive effect on people’s lives. However, I’m sure that people should be close to technology, because it makes the cultural environment more available and convenient for everyone.
