There are opinions regarding on should the students be focus on all subject or only learn things they preferred or best at. This essay is agree with student only focusing on the subject they best at and explain further bellow.
The primary reason for a student to focus on subject they are best at is due to the time they spend for the subject might affect how much understanding they acquired. The more time they spend, the more knowledge obtained from it. For example, a student who prepared for Scientific Olympiad, such as Biology, tend to have special time to learn Biology provided by the school and does not have obligation to sit on the class to learn on other subjects. Hence, the student has bigger opportunity to win the medal compare to student who has to waste time on other subjects.
Another thing that need to be taken note is that not every students have homogenous talent. Some have talent in academic, while the other might more into arts. For the latter, it might harder for them to develop the talent when the time and access are limited due to learn other subject that is not their strong liking. Take a Korean idol for example, most of them dropped from school to focus on dance and singing practice every day. Hence, they can develop to the maximum potential and become successful in the future.
To sum up, concentrate on one thing to learn likely more agree-able due to the benefit for the student than that on many subjects.
