The question raises the issue that while some people opine successful academic endeavors are related to the teaching standard and caliber of the educators employed by the school, it can also be argued that it solely relies on the attitude and determination exhibited by the students to achieve their goals.
There can be no doubt in the fact that for achieving good grades, the teaching capabilities of an instructor should be of high quality. Teachers at school should be able to convey their ideas and methodologies to the students in order for them to grasp the concepts. In fact, the teacher should have different strategies to engage and understand the students, so that they can impart knowledge in an interactive fashion. The better they understand in the class, the better grades they will achieve. Consequently, the teaching method plays a crucial role in determining the academic performance of a tutee.
On the contrary, a popular belief points to the fact that academic performance can be associated with the attitude and determination displayed by the student. The teaching quality does not matter until the students demonstrate and develop a taste to work and improve themselves. Additionally, students should be able to learn new concepts and practice it in order to improve and progress. Thus, it can be attributed to the fact that success relies on consistent hard work and determination as it aids in progressing towards a healthy habit of self-reliance.
In my point of view, academic success is dependent on the work ethic of the students. If they are not able to practice and learn consistently on their own, they themselves are responsible for the grades they achieve.
To conclude, the attitude exhibited by the students play a vital role in determining their academic result. Therefore, a student must develop a hunger to strive for success by improving their competence and consistently work hard to learn and practice outside of the classroom.
