It is totally true that a myriad of people claim that providing good infrastructure in rural areas is the best option to improve the quality of life for people there. Yet, others also believe that opening job opportunities is a better action to increase people’s living standard. In this essay, I will elucidate both perspectives and yield my personal opinion in the forthcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, the notion in which the government should provide proper infrastructure in rural areas to grow the quality of life for local people is unequivocally acceptable. This is based on the inevitable reality that having proper infrastructure like roads, bridges, or highways in such areas can possibly rocket people’s lives. For example, for people working as a commuter who is round-trip every day from their house to office, if those in power spend the budget on widening main roads from rural areas to city centres, automatically traffic congestion which always becomes one of the biggest problems in major cities like Jakarta, will possibly alleviate. As a result, most workers can save their time from traffic jams on the road; they also are protected by the probability of the state of being stressful impacted by staying for a long time on the road.
Conversely, even though the argument given above is fully logical, another idea convincing that broadening job markets will be a rational solution in rural areas to raise a high-quality life for people is totally acceptable. This is inextricably enmeshed by the fact that one of the biggest issues in that region is related to the development of employment rate. Such a circumstance, on the other hand, plays a significant role to encourage the growth of the less fortunate bigger and bigger nowadays. Consequently, by providing job opportunities for those, it can extremely assist people’s lives, specifically to reduce the number of poor people in rural areas.
In conclusion, both stand points have a strong argumentation to defend their perspective. However, I personally believe that providing proper infrastructure in rural areas is a wise solution to enhance the quality of the living standard for many people in the countryside
