Nowadays, the production of happy society is highly debatable topic. Number of people believe that ensuring the gap between poor and rich is smallest possible. In this essay, I will argue whether this statement is based on true arguments or not.
By many people, well balanced society is a key to make sure everyone is a happy member of the community. On one hand, government needs to make sure that the least wealthy citizens are not struggling with basic needs. And the richest people are helping to improve life of the poorer ones. However, to achieve such a well-balanced environment is not an easy task. For instance, higher taxes for people who earn certain amount of money.
Some people may argue that it will not be fair and would put a high pressure on the wealthier part of the community. They worked hard, therefore they deserve to have and enjoy the money. Which is an understandable point of view. If someone has worked really hard for most of the life, there is certainly a sense of individualism, therefore those might not be too interested in the global happiness, but rather in their own success and well-being.
As many people think, controlling how huge is a difference between poor and rich, would help make the gap between them less significant. I would argue that this might be a perfect solution for the poor members. However, in my opinion, producing happiness is not the main target for the richest people.
