Nowadays, environmental issues are becoming increasingly serious. While some individuals argue that the global warming is the largest danger to our planet, others believe that defostation and loss of bioversity are even more crucial factors. This essay will discuss both sides and explain why I agree that global warming is the most urgent threat.
Those who consider global warming to be the most serious issue argue that it affects every aspect of life in Earth. Rising sea temperatures make tropical storms stronger and more destructive, as seen in the recent hurricanes that devastated parts of the Caribbean and the southern United states. Due to meiting ice caps, people in countries such as India and Pakistan may face severe water shortages in coming decades.
On the other hand, many believe that devostation and loss of biodiversity are more urgent. Forests plau a vital role in absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxyden. Then they are ruined, not only do we lose natural habitats, but also accelerate climate change. Furhermore, the extintion of animal and plant species can cause irreversible danage to ecosystems.
In conclution both global warming and deforestation are critical environmental issues. However, i think that global warming has a wider and more immediate impact, as it contributes to other environmental problems, including the destruction of forests and the loss of biodiversity.
