It is widely believed by some people that state should be providing people with public services, whole others support the idea of private companies doing so. I strongly agree with the latter opinion, because this increases the quality of these services, as well as fosters economic development.
First of all, if the private companies are responsible for funding public services this will eventually increase the quality of these services. To say that, private sector has more independence and interests in developing areas like public needs. For example, in Japan state has little to no control over community services and all expenses are being provided by private companies like Mitsubishi and Mitsui.
On the other hand, public services are also a great area to make money from. This is why a lot of companies are getting more and more interested in investing in this sector – the more you put, the more you will acquire. For instance, one of the main reasons behind American ‘economic wonder’ was the private companies that gained wealth with the help of public services and other such areas.
In conclusion, although state should invest to public services at some point, overall this duty must be taken by private companies, since this may increase the quality of these services and to open doors for economic increase.
