It has become extremelly easy to reach any point not only in your city but everywhere in the world also within a short peroid of time. People are able to use different transportation and pay very little money to commute. Alas, the quality of the roads sometimes may be upsetting. So, here is the question whether governement should sponsor public transportation or to invest more in the road buildings.
On one hand,the majprity of people do not have money either to buy a car or to rent. So it seems wise to invest more in public transport. Citizens mostly use buses, trains, subways to go to their work and schools because they can live in the suburban areas but have their business downtown. Also, living in the urban areas is quite comfortable, that is why the community grows so as the amount of the public transport should.
On another hand, road building is more reasonable due to its current quality. A lot of people have cars and it is not comfortable for them to drive on bad roads as it takes more time to reach the final destination. I also believe that the quality of the roads affects the condition of the car greatly. But if the government build new roads, it will be easier to reach their destination on time and keep the vehicles for much longer.
To sum up, it would be rather wise to invest firstly at the roads than in the multiplying of the vehicles.
