While debate between people who’s believe the government shoul invest more in public services versus people who pretty sure that private companies should take the lead in providing services. Both opinions have strengths argument to strengthening their views.
First of all, from those who believes government should put more on budget allocation for public services like health, education, and transportation. This opinions exist because simply the society understood government should do their responsibilities to maximize public services. Because the government already achieve lot of money from the people, by people paying their tax. In example, when people already pay tax from their personal transportation, it is very normal for them asking the government to build good infrastructure like a proper highway.
In the other hand, some of them think private companies should lead in case providing important services for society. Have kind of long term and business point of view for the country. By letting private companies participate for building facilities, it could make the government save more money for other things more urgent. They believe the private companies already take a lot of resources either human or nature, so their should responsible for their activity by building public facilities. In example, a multinational company build they office in Indonesia, so they should fullfill Company Social Responsibility to build something impactful for the society.
To conclude these views, the answer is depends to the country status quo. If they government already do their jobs succesfully and the budget is limited, it gonna be normal to push the companies to provide public services. Second condition, if they government takes a high value taxes from the people but lack of action, then they should push the government to do something more.
