The purpose of education is a topic of ongoing debate. While some believe education should primarily focus on preparing young individuals for future employment by equipping them with skills necessary, while others believe education should help the young by teaching them the workings of the world aiming them to become developing citizens who are aware of social issues and can help the community.
While the both methods of education has its positives and negatives, Preparing young people for employment can be very useful in current day and age as the world we know is far more competitive than ever before. The rise of competition have harmed thousands of jobs due to which learning specific skillsets that go up and beyond to obtain a job is important nowadays.
On the other hand, teaching the young about social issues can help a great deal for the future generations, as they would learn about these issues and depth and reasons behind it, attempting to create a better world everyday.
Personally, I do not have a strong opinion on which education system I prefer more. I believe there’s need for both of these education types in our world, However, I lean more towards teaching young individuals about social issues as it’d help attain a healthier future, these individuals are likely to solve problems through their creative skills and mastering the science behind the issues.
