There is no denying the fact that studying in the universities ought to be free for all students. While it is a commonly held belief that higher education should not be provided for free. There is also an argument that opposes it. In my opinion, I consider that the education system in universities might be free for students with limited financial resources.
To begin with, all the individuals who have financial problems in a country must have equal opportunities to study in colleges, just like upper-classes people. in other words, not all the citizens have had the chance to study at college in many countries. In addition, people from middle-classes backgrounds may not have the money to enroll in universities. Fo example, in some nations like Egypt or India with a huge population, it is difficult to make the education system free for all because it will cost these governments a lot of funds.
Another point to consider is that it is hard for states to control the quality of the academic system. It is also possible to say that spending on research and salaries requires a big budget in education field. Moreover, these governments cannot fund this sector entirely. For instance, they need to diversify income sources, such as tuition fees to cover costs.
In conclusion, despite people having different views, I believe that if the states make this system free for some groups, this might achieve justice in accepting students and help in covering most of the fees.
