It is very hard to enroll in higher educations in university for people who are under the poverty line. There is a discussion that government should pay for student’s university education, whether they belong to rich or poor families. I will discuss some major reasons why i partially agree with this notion.
First of all, getting enrolled in higher universities is a dream of some students who come from poor families. Some poor families cant even afford a meal for a day sometimes, so to afford a fees of university education for their children is impossible for them. Due to that, Poor students cant even get a chance to get proper education which leads them to live life under poverty line. Although Government could provide some financial support for them, they should release some funds to build some free universities. Apart from this, government should also provide some subsidies to students belong to middle class families, so they can also focus on studies rather than fees structure.
On the other hand, paying collage fees for all the students are not affordable for governments. As, the authorities also have responsibilities to focus on other sectors like infrastructure. If government will provide free institutes for all learners, they cant focus on other sectors. The more government spend on free education, the more government have to increase taxation. Since the state government will change their budget structure, there might be delay in infrastructure.
To conclude, it is not practical for government to support each student for higher education. But they should help students belong from disadvantage backgrounds.
