It is believed for some people that volunteer work should be mandatory in high school program as it plays a significant role in student learning progress. I completely agree that unpaid community service will provide many valuable experience for students and will be beneficial for community.
To commence with, the first reason for students for having an obligation to do free services is their own personal development. There are plenty of precious outcome such as enhancing their communication skill, team work, and problem-solving as they meet and make friends in this program. For instance, there was school anniversary event and the teacher assigned the students to clean and decorate the school hall. The students met each other and formed as a team to do the assignment. As a result, it enhanced their team work as well as their communication skill by organizing an event.
Additionally, community work can also enrich the students view about society. They can learn more about various aspects of society-life and cultures, not only from school environment. It will fasten their personal development as they interact with people. Moreover, volunteer work will have good impact on society environment as it contributes to the community. A rencent research from Monash University in Australia discovered that well-behaved communities are made from the existence of way to get closer to others.
To sum up, making community service compulsory is not only beneficial for student but also for society by interacting and helping each other. That is to say, school should apply volunteer work program for their students
