In today’s fast-changing world, media has become an essential part of our lives, which leads to the concern that watching violent contents on television programs or films can result in more agressive behaviour. From my perspective, I partly agree with this opinion due to some factors through childhood.
Rencently, there are many cases that children commit an illegal act such as thefting or even murdering. Those behaviours are resulted from playing violent stimulator games which makes them mistake reality with online world. Besides that, exposing too much to violence on TV can desentisize people to brutality which they should have been sympathesized to its victims rather than blamming them. In that sense, people are influenced by what they watch and can be more aggressive as they follow hostile films.
However, a clear-headed person cannot become furious after watching those contents. Thereforem action-packed programs may just be catalysts for them to be violent. According to some surveys, 64% of juvenile delequents are brought up in high-conflict families, including those who are bullied at school, which contributes to the development of antisocial traits and media is a tool for them to display the predisposition to hostility. This indicates that upbringing environment may have negative impact on individuals and violence on TV or social platforms is just their excuses to evade responsibilities.
In conclusion, although growing-up environment is the primary cause of violent behaviour, parents and school should also seriously take care of their children and students to avoid unexpected situations and help them to become civilized citizens.
